Virtual Goodspeed Classroom: Customized Show Experience

This season, let Goodspeed come to you! Schools, corporations, service organizations, and group facilities are welcome to experience the Goodspeed community while still following recommended health and safety guidelines. The Virtual Goodspeed Classroom offers arts based curriculum and workshops surrounding a recent Goodspeed production that are specifically designed for a remote performing arts learning experience. Your group will receive access to view an archival video of a Goodspeed production, while our slate of workshops and activities pull back the curtain on the inner workings of live theater. 

The Virtual Goodspeed Classroom experience includes:

  • A Student Guide to the Theatre for your chosen production, which includes background information about the show, activities for students, and discussion questions for educators
  • Customized activating and reflection exercises led virtually by Goodspeed Education Staff, planned collaboratively with the group leader
  • Password-protected access to recording of a Goodspeed production
  • A live virtual talkback with Goodspeed Education Staff
  • Two performing arts workshops centered on the content of the production, planned collaboratively with the group leader

Once you select your show experience, we will contact you to schedule a planning session for your group's Goodspeed Classroom and answer any questions you may have.

Effective and Impactful Grant Writing

Open to arts professionals of all experience levels, these seminars provide the opportunity to learn directly from Goodspeed staff members who put their expertise into practice every single day. This series will cover a variety of topics that are relevant to the operation of a regional theatre like Goodspeed, from design to nonprofit management to breaking into the industry. The Professional Development Seminar Series is perfect for professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of a specific topic and connect with peers from across the country, all from the comfort of their own homes!

Effective and Impactful Grant Writing is ideal for arts professionals of any experience level, and will cover topics such as:

  • tailoring your grant search and application process to the right funder for your project
  • the role of digital media in grant writing
  • maintaining relationships with grantors before, during, and after the grant period and engaging them in your organization's work

Your organization is already doing important work. This seminar will help you craft a strong appeal to the right funder for your project, build upon that relationship, and amplify your organization’s mission.

Each Break Out includes three audition technique master classes - Choreography, Vocal Coaching, and Mock Audition - focusing on a particular show. In each master class, our faculty will demonstrate how they as creative leaders honor the styles of the past for today’s productions.

For the Vocal Coaching Class, students will be required to provide their own accompaniment track for an audition piece of their choosing. For the Mock Audition Session, each student will be required to submit a self-tape of their audition piece, as well as participate in a live dance audition using the material learned in the Choreography Class.

Private Acting (30 Minutes)

$165

Calendar Oct 26, 2020 , runs for 6 weeks

Train with Goodspeed Teaching Artists individually and at your own pace! The Kids Company Private Studio provides students ages 7-18 with the opportunity to receive one-on-one monologue coaching from acting instructor Elizabeth Guilbert. Whatever the goals of your young performer, the Private Studio will give them the tools that they need to succeed.

Classes are limited to one student per Private Studio session. Private Studio schedules are determined on an individual basis and are subject to the instructor's availability.

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 2 payments of $57.50, paid every two weeks.
